Why, yes, I do have a copy of the October 21, 1982 Mattoon Journal-Gazette, from the day after the Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers to win the World Series, in my Brooklyn apartment right now. Why do you ask?
(Seriously, since 1982, I’ve lived in Mattoon, Champaign, Los Angeles, St. Louis and New York, in more than 20 different houses/apartments, and this thing has been in the same building as me in every single one. I might be a hoarder.)
